It provides students with both the theory and practice in how to design, lead and manage organizations. Topics include theories of leadership, strategy, ethics, designing organizations for rapid change and differing cultural environments, communication, job design, managing and motivating people, fostering creativity, and team work. In addition to traditional lectures, exercises and case studies will be used throughout. • Estimated course enrolmen t: 216 (32 per section) • Number of positions : 2 • Size of appointment : Head SIA (120 hr), SIA (100 hr) • Scheduled sections: Thursdays (5-6 or 6-7 p.m.) • Sessional dates of appointment: September 1 - December 30, 2026 • Salary : $55.27/hour • Preferred qualifications: PhD or Masters with a strong background in organizational behavior and management. Engineering background is an asset, as is previous teaching experience in this or a similar course. • Description of duties : SIAs will a) Conduct/debrief role plays; b) assist individuals or teams with assignments; c) Invigilate assessments, and grade assignments/assessments ; d) attend preparatory or training sessions; e) communicate with students in response to their inquiries.
