Position Overview Under the supervision and direction of the Manager, Financial Services provides accounting and customer services functions related to departmental and corporate activities. Experience Two (2) years related experience. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12 graduate, Manitoba Standards. Completion of Business/Accounting diploma from a recognized business college within the last 8 years required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not applicable Qualifications and Skills Keyboarding skills with an accuracy of 40 wpm. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Proficiency in SAP, Great Plains and ORMED would be an asset. Knowledge of basic accounting procedures. Knowledge of relevant Workplace Safety and Health responsibilities. Mathematical aptitude. Ability to express ideas and thoughts in English both verbally and in written format. Ability to select appropriate communication methods pertinent to the situation. Ability to listen and comprehend effectively. Ability to organize workload and set priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work safely without injury to self, to patients/residents, or to other staff. Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients/residents, family members and coworkers. To use good judgment, asking for guidance, direction when necessary. Establishes and maintains effective relations utilizing tact and consideration. Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Ability to set up and maintain accurate files and records. Ability to use systems and equipment typical of an office environment. Physical Requirements Physical and mental health to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
